When Mark Birks, a qualified engineer, moved into the sales market for the gasket industry, he was frustrated at the long lead times he could only offer his customers for quick breakdown services.

In 1996 he opened Vesseal Gaskets and Rubber Products.

He started off with just a lathe, a ring cutter, and a spiral wound gasket machine, and began servicing the fast turnaround industry in the market.

He was an instant success, and was so busy he had to open two more units to cope with demand.

In 2000 he opened a clad gasket and die formed ring department, and had to relocate to larger premises.

Two years later they moved to their current premises in Boothtown, Halifax, and changed their name to V-Seal Limited. V-Seal now occupy the Reflecting Roadstuds building where Percy Shaw OBE invented and manufactured his "Cat's Eyes" – Halifax's greatest export ahead of V-Seal.

V-Seal Ltd manufacture a wide variety of gaskets and have many years experience in the industry; we are totally committed to providing the customer with a quality product and quick turnaround.

The service we offer is still our main priority, as it was when the company was first launched in 1996.
